In the Windows Display Settings the monitor appears as a box to be rearranged, but is selected as "Disconnect this display." When I try to use any other option in the Multiple displays dropdown menu the computer freezes just like using the Nvidia Control Panel, and red text appears saying: "The display settings could not be saved. I then get the dialogue box to "keep changes" or to "revert changes." Applying the changes accomplishes no change. When it comes to, the checkmark in the box appears for a second or two, and then disapears. When I do click on the checkbox to enable the DisplayPort input for the Asus monitor, my PC freezes for 20 seconds or so. In the Nvidia control panel, I can see the option to enable the Asus monitor, but it will not check the "box" to enable the input through the DisplayPort ( see screenshot: ). The Aoc monitor has been receiving input through a DVI-D cable. I have been using DisplayPort cables for both the Acer monitor, and the Asus monitor. It was working prior to about 4-5 days ago (maybe up to a week, I'm not sure I just haven't had time to try to solve the issue until now). I cannot get my Asus monitor to receive input through DisplayPort.
